Our History

Wildwood Farm is not just a business, it's a family legacy. With three generations of family ownership, we take great pride in our history and the heritage of our farm. Our main farmhouse, the Captain Silas Whitney house, has stood since 1778, a testament to the durability of New England architecture. When Bill Foster purchased the farm in 1969, it had been abandoned for 50 years and was in a state of disrepair.

But Bill saw the potential in the property, and with hard work and dedication, he brought the farm back to life. Despite the challenges he faced, including a population of porcupines living in the abandoned farmhouse, Bill poured his heart and soul into the farm, making it the thriving local family farm it is today. At Wildwood Farm, we honor our history and the vision of our forebears. We are dedicated to maintaining the farm's legacy. Come visit us and experience the unique blend of tradition and innovation that makes Wildwood Farm so special.
